Well, that was fast! Seems like only yesterday we found out Jake signed on to End of Watch (a movie I know nothing about except that it involves police-people) and now here he is, all skinhead-y and packing heat!
This movie is due out in 2013, but since the world is going to end in 2012, we will never see it, which is why this picture is the best thing that's going to happen to you this Friday.

Skinhead Jake?! Somehow skinhead cop Jake isn't the same as hot-fake-Marine skinhead Jake. Am I wrong?!? Also am I the only one put off by action film direction Jake's career has taken as of late? Just don't know how I feel about that. I will admit I havent seen SC yet. Finances haven't allowed. Oh the life of a broke college student...
Naomi freaked when Jake came home shaved from Jarhead boot camp. She's gonna love this! I guess I don't see the reasoning to have Jake completely shorn to play a cop; I don't see any cops around here looking like that. This photo has taken a lot of joy out of looking forward to End of Watch, and that's a lot, coming from me. Maybe if it follows a long career, he will have hair in some of the years...what a waste of good, healthy follicles.

In that photo, the guy on the right looks like a Real Cop and Jake looks like an actor who is pretending to be a cop.
I just wish some of the movies Jake is making now, had been made earlier in his career, right after BBM, and Jarhead. His choices of the Zodiac killer and international torture, just didn't keep him riding the crest he could have been riding. (I mixed some metaphors or something there.)
It's not a universal no!!!! I like it!!! I mean imprefer source code hair length but I much prefer this to longer locks. And i think back to some pap pica during jarhead time and some of them were my favorite!!!

Hey, I totally agree with NSA, gyllenhaalisgr8, Sasha, & coffeecat.
The Swoff "high & tight" was the right look for that movie, but there is no need for this skinhead look as an LA cop. WTF? When did the LA cops start looking like that? I don't think so. Wondering if this is Ayer's idea or if the barber got shear happy & just went too far?

I concur with coffeecat's assessment of the timing of Jake's movie roles. There was so much he could have capitalized on in those post-BBM days! When Jake inevitably calls me to ask for career advice, I fully plan to bring this up to him...
IHJ has some new paparazzi pictures up and he most definitely had his head covered with both a baseball cap AND a hoodie, which makes me think he sides with the majority opinion when it comes to the shaved head.
