Here's the list of celebs for the cancer thing . . previous list at bottom. Jake's not listed anymore. I'd hate to think he pulled out because he's too hung up on RW to go.

Leslie, I know what you mean about RW. I hate to think that too. The minute I saw she was appearing I thought of Jake. I would hate to think what you said, but its entirely possible. We'll never know what went on between Jake and RW, why or why not she's with him. It's no fault of hers that she chose someone she feels she's better off with. Good for her, seriously. We have no idea what she's like, what either guy is really like, or what went on .
As far as Jake not doing the cancer telethon, I could see him not doing it just so there's no spectacle and drawing attention away from what's important.

Jake's name hasn't been on the official roster for SU2C for a while. I think his participation was shooting a commercial for them. He was never scheduled to be part of the live show/performance, except by some misinformed gossip columnists.
RW's presence has nothing to do with it. There're so many people involved I seriously doubt whether they'd have even seen each other. She would definitely want to avoid him since she has so obviously "moved on." LOL!

As a devotee of PhotoStudio, I find this photo disturbing not just because the head stitching is good compared to the horrible body choice, but it is disrespectful to Jake. If this were an actual still of him from a movie it would be one thing, but this is created without regard to the subject. I have been known to make worse than this, but for my own PERSONAL enjoyment. PG knows I have some hot Jake stitchery (not that she has seen them), and I refrain from and refuse posting them in their graphic entirety online because I know how far they would go. To be honest, I'm dying to show off my convincing stitching only because I am proud of my work, but I just cannot, will not, because (as demented as I am) I just can't subject Jake to any residual embarrassment. Not to mention how it could affect his regard for me as an admirer (presently there is NO regard, LOL!), but what a terrible way to make a first impression (my goofy captions may be over the top already!). Maybe I am too thin-skinned. And God knows I'm the last person who would be called a prude. Maybe Jake would just laugh all of this off. But I, for one, am not willing to take that chance. Sorry I got all serious on you guys, but I am very protective of Jake, and this is just wrong on so many levels. Amen.

HAHA!! gyllenhaalisgr8, I could explain away the original photo. THIS ONE I honestly can't (mainly because I can't remember where it came from...but even I have to admit I must have been off the beaten trail for that one...yikes).
I think you have a valid point; there's definitely a line between healthy fantasy and unhealthy objectification. There's also a difference between the photo in the post and what's being advertised in the link above. I've definitely seen worse (not from you, but these Photoshop jobs pop up somewhat regularly), and I would hope that Jake would just roll his eyes and get a laugh out of it. But I think it's probably more likely he never even sees such stuff (he never has spent a lot of time paying attention to what goes on online), and for that we can probably all be grateful. :)
But it's good to have this discussion. It's also good to know that the "Read More" link doesn't work on Safari, either! (As I just found out.) Why does Blogger hate this post so much?!!
