Couple of things to report this evening...
Exhibit A: The release date for Source Code has been pushed back in the United States. To April 15, 2011. Go on. Look at the other releases for that day. Check out how Water for Elephants is coming out the same fucking day and then groan at the inevitable media hoopla that will ensue.
Then commit to burying that goddamned Witherspoon/Pattinson piece of crap and giving Jake a win. Team Gyllenhaal!
Exhibit B: It's possible we've found the source of the rumor of Jake's involvement in the Stand Up to Cancer thing. And it's possible that TV Guide doesn't know what the hell it's talking about and just writes ambiguous articles that can be interpreted however you want to interpret them. All this back and forth...
Just understand that no one has any idea what is going on with Jake, ever, at any time, and then accept that this makes this whole "fan" thing that much more thrilling... He likes to keep us on our toes.
And sometimes it's nice to know that the professionals are just as baffled by him as the rest of us! (But he's not going to be doing the SU2C thing, no matter what TV Guide tries to tell us. *sad face*)
Exhibit C: Any and all continued bashing of the Love & Other Drugs Facebook page in the previous post is strongly encouraged.

Geez, I know the damn Jake alerts I've been getting all day long are making me just a little crazier than I already am. It's all going viral. Either it's the poster or the trailer, & now every damn gossip columnist, site, whatthefuckever, is assuring the world that Gylls & Bilson are definitely a pair. Twitter has gone insane with that bit of crap. OK, they can cool it now. If, & big IF here, they are dating, SFW? Geez, you would think they eloped or something from the way it's everywhere.
Sophie you said a mouthful! Not a fan of Reese's Pieces anymore myself. (sorry, I still like RPattz though) But I do think I will skip that movie & go see Source Code like 10 times that weekend.

Leslie, we thought he was doing it because several blogs reported what was in that TV Guide article. But if you read it, it doesn't actually say he's going to be part of the telethon. It just says he's doing the PSA...and that, plus the fact that he's not (and never was) on any of the "official" celebrity lists for the telethon itself, is good enough for me to feel confident about it at this point. ;)
There has been too much Jake news today, it's true! And for those of you who have read the book, this would be "The New Girlfriend" in action (which is to say, it doesn't matter if it's true, all that matters is the hysteria it incites ;)).
I'm much more concerned about strategizing for our box office takeovers for the next two Jake movies!
Vanessa -- would just like to say a big hell yeah to what you said about "Reese's Pieces"!!! I was talking about my dislike of her a couple days ago. Though sweet Leslie made excellent points, I stand by the fact that I'll never understand how a girl can be with someone like JAKE and then ditch him for someone like her current... You understand. ;)
Yeah, I do understand what you mean. & for the record, I am really glad she moved on. I would way rather see Jake get together with someone much nicer that doesn't already have kids, so he can make some gorgeous kids of his own. Not that hers were not, those are two of the most beautiful children I have even seen on this planet. However, Jake is too young to settle for anything less than his own DNA running around. That's my 2 cents. Sorry, I don't mean to offend any RW fans either. Peace.
I'm still holding out that Jake will be on the FOX broadcast of S^2C. Call me a cock-eyed optimist, LOL!

Wow, the simultaneous release date of RW's and Jake's respective movies is a total PLOY contrived by movie studios/production companies to push marketing and headlines. They're obviously trying to grab attention and hope to use both actor's personal lives and involvement with one another for promotion. Low. (AT LEAST THAT'S MY THEORY. COULD TOTALLY BE A COINCIDENCE.)

Much to everyone here's chagrin, I actually like Reese Witherspoon, although not tremendously. Sure I'll make a snide remark when I see her in the magazines walking around with Jim Roth (sp?) and say something like, "Jake did the whole walking flawlessly thing first", but I actually did enjoy some of her movies: Legally Blonde, Sweet Home Alabama...
But SOURCE CODE DOMINATION. LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN, EVERYONE.
Well, KD, I have to admit that I really was a big fan of hers until she broke his heart. That kinda made me not like her so much. But that's just me being fangirlish, since none of us know the actual facts of what happened there.
& to be perfectly honest, one of my favorite movies of all time is a RW movie. One of her first, "Freeway". Ironically, one of JG's first movies is "Highway". Weird, huh? Freeway is hands down one of her best performances imho. If you've never seen it, throw it in your Netflix queue asap. Trust me, you won't regret it. & for the record I really loved Legally Blonde & own both of those damn DVD's. So there you have it, I am what I call a fickle fan. But only with the woman that hurt my man. Blech. ^_^

Oh believe me, that whole movie will have you laughing so hard! It is freaky bizarro. I love bizarre movies, so if that isn't your type of movie genre, please forgive. But if you are a RW fan, it is a must see regardless.

I have been Team Gyllenhaal for a long time, i even have a shirt ;) Im a bit of a sucker for James Frain though i will see that elephant movie but for no other reason that that and not on the day its released. Infact, just for Jake i might wait until its on DVD!
I'll beleive the bilson thing when i see a picture. People are still debating whether Rpatz and Kstew are together, this could go on for a long time!!!

I can totally believe that the studios have changed the movie release date for more publicity. This kind of thing always happens, and I am totally against it, but what can you do? Oh well. Any publicity for Jake films is good publicity I suppose :P
I'm one of the bitter fans. Really don't like RW. Seriously never watching another one of her films, although I am glad they split up. I reckon Jake's better off without her!

water for elephants is one of my favorite books.
also, i'll be attending its premiere due to the boyfriend (which means i wont have to go see it opening day in theatres, thankfully).
however, im debating making fortune cookies to pass out to people and do some flash PR for source code.
ive read the source code script, and ive been excited for that project even before Gylls was involved. will it out do WfE? honestly.. I think so. its more aimed towards guys, is sort of Inception-esque, however the studio behind it, Summit, are notoriously cheap regarding PR. so we may be looking at another PoP type (lack of) promo. im hoping for the best, though!
I was skeptical on the RB thing until I read up on her a bit - her father is Jewish and she comes from a film industry family. Sort of similar to Jake's . . so at least they have some fundamental "life" things in common. But until I see him walking hand-in-hand with her down Sunset Blvd. then I won't really believe it. But who knows? One would tend to wonder how they met though since he's been on the QT for the majority of the time and she's just fresh off a broken engagement. *shrug*
