Dress Like Jake!

With Jake growing his beard out again and Jon Stewart coming back from his July vacation with a little facial hair himself, it seems like everyone is styling themselves after Gylls these days.

And who wouldn't want to dress like Jake Gyllenhaal?  Wait, don't answer that.

Who wouldn't want to dress like Jake Gyllenhaal when someone else had picked out his clothes?  Wait, don't answer that either, 'cause I wouldn't.  But other people might - like guy-people!  And for those people, there is River Island, a clothing company that wants the world to dress like Jake!  (Sidenote:  I wonder if Jake knows they used him on their website last month to sell their clothes.)

The picture above is a screenshot of River Island's website a few weeks ago.  When you clicked on Jake's dapper, sunglass-ed face, you got this:

A complete outfit!  And when you put all of that on an I'm Stalking Jake! reader, you got this:

Nothing Really Matters, MERIT BADGE.  Total and complete merit badge moment here, For Buying an Entire Jake-Inspired Designer Outfit:
Well earned!

While we're on the subject of Jake and his clothing choices, a rather comprehensive look at his wardrobe can be found at THIS LINK, which is full of useful information, like what kind of sunglasses Jake wears, and commentary on his hat choices ("Also I've noticed [as I'm sure his fans have too], Gyllenhaal's love for fedoras").

(As a matter of fact yes, author of this article.  We have noticed Jake's fedora fetish.  And we've been trying to repress it, thank you very much.)

Jake Fashion Tip:  Never leave home without wearing a stained shirt.

This article comes to us courtesy of gyllenhaalisgr8, who, as many of you may already know, is better known for taking Jake's clothes off than dressing him:

And because she's already won a Lifetime Achievement Award, I don't really know what else to say, except that this is the edited version, because I told her my delicate sensitivities couldn't handle that which was originally sent my way...

Thanks to Nothing Really Matters and gyllenhaalisgr8 for waiting through the entire month it took me to post this!  Jesus.

Death to the fedora! I hate that thing. It's uggly and it hides the gyllenhair. Nothing should ever hide the marvel that is Jake's hair.

And similar posing. Amazing!

Very fashionable post today! It's nice to see Naked Jake made the scene! He's here looking with me. But as you know, without his blanket he can be a bit... distracting (to say the least!). But it's always comforting (maybe not the right word) to know he's always waiting up in bed for me (no pun intended)! Thanks for all of your good work, PG! And I agree with Anon -- Gyllenhair Rules, and shouldn't be hidden any more than that gorgeous face should be! What a babe!

I'm anxious to have the People's 2010 World's Most Beautiful out . . I'm glad he's made it!!

Vanessa August 3, 2010 at 3:49 PM

Oh my, NRM, I am SO impressed! How gorgeous are you? Love it! Congrats on the merit badge, WELL DESERVED! >;-)

Thanks for the great pics & links, PG, I love this post today. & so totally agree with you on the Fedoras, not my favorite hat on anyone, for that matter. & WTF is up with Jon & that crap on his chin now? That SO needs to go like NOW. Love that post on him though, hilarious!

Plus, I am SO with Olympia & gyllenhaalisgr8, that Gyllenhair is way too gorgeous & luxurious to hide under some silly hat anyway. Let it all hang out, Gylls! >;-)

Sam August 3, 2010 at 5:52 PM

Sam August 3, 2010 at 5:54 PM

Birthd, cause thats what we say here.. haha no i meant Birthday Obviously... Did i mention NRM, you are a legend?!

Becky Heineke August 3, 2010 at 6:24 PM

NRM is the only person I know who has been continuously stalking as long as I have. And yet even I have never bought and worn a full-out Jake outfit. TOTAL WIN. :)

Vanessa (fellow Daily Show watcher!), WHAT is up with Jon's beard?! I think his Facial Hair Alert Level has officially reached severe. :(

AND I'm glad everyone agrees on the fedoras!! I'm not sure when that started exactly but I think we should take a collective stand and say we're not going to tolerate such business anymore.

Vanessa August 3, 2010 at 7:18 PM

OMG, NRM, I did not know it was your B-Day today. Well since it is a great occasion, let me send you mucho birthday wishes & super Cheers! May all your dreams come true! Muah!! >;-)

oh my landa.

You go, Nothing Really Matters!

KD,  August 3, 2010 at 10:19 PM

I don't wear 'em, but I think they can look dapper on a man (or woman) if worn correctly.

Becky Heineke August 4, 2010 at 9:11 AM

Somewhat hilariously, and by sheer coincidence, apparently Jake made Vanity Fair's International Best Dressed List yesterday.

Vanity Fair: Looking to me for news to cover.

KD, we forgive you for your questionable taste in head coverings! ;D

Jake makes the list as number 9 for October Sky!

I think i like fedoras and facial hair. Hahahahaha! I must be one of very few :) on a side note ive started a source code blog, it's pretty crappy at the moment, but i'm giving it a go :D here is the address:http://www.filmsourcecode.blogspot.com/

Becky Heineke August 4, 2010 at 12:07 PM

Added to the sidebar, Silver! And AWESOME. I am so out of the loop on Source Code, so I'm very excited you're doing this!! I will read regularly. :)

KD, awww, little teenage Jake and his rocket science self! Though AGAIN I ask where the Bubble Boy love is. I'm telling you, it would have taken some serious mental prowess to construct that bubble...

The writing style you opt is really impressive and touches the mind and soul. Please produce a few lines about the topics like womens playsuits supplier | womens jumpsuits distributor. I want the reliable information about them as I want to increase my knowledge about these magical items.
