Hey, I'm Slightly More Famous Than I Used to Be!

I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has searched for me online in the past few months.  Granted, we haven't gotten my last name right quite yet, but as the product of my self-absorbed and technologically-obsessed generation, discovering that I now autocomplete on Google has been the highlight of my day.

AT LONG LAST.  The stalker becomes the stalkee...

(These are slow news days, indeed.)

haha PG - great stuff :) Congrats on that *yayyy - you go girl*

(and slightly off topic to your comment to me on the other post: Thank you so much for understanding me :) xoxoxo And for your cheering. / I know you can't do anything about the book delay - don't worry there :) )

And can I say/ask: You sure heard about that 1000s-birds-falling-off-heaven-in-small-town-thing??? Such things really worry me about mother earth :(

And Re-Aussie-Floods: Happy every aussie here is safe, first and foremost... but stupid germans had to be rescued coz they drove into a closed area and had to be rescued from hungry crocodiles ...ROFL

Haha, congrats honey! :-D

I needed that smile!! ;-)
(two days 'til paper's due... I'll write more soon, promise!)

(and I'll go revel in the fact that I have a famous friend ;-) )

WOW PG That is AWESOME! I guess a Congratulations is in order!!!

Sasha, are you serious? I havnt heard that... bloody funny! Some people can be so dumb! They are even warning people to watch for brown snakes as they go back into their homes. Imagine finding a snake or crocodile in our lounge room!

NoSuchAngel January 4, 2011 at 6:40 PM

That's quite the accomplishment!! Just be glad your name is relatively easy (with the exception of that ONE letter) for people to spell. I shudder to think what my autocomplete would be!!!

tankergirl January 4, 2011 at 6:56 PM

You know why I think you are famous?
JAKE knows who you are!

Becky Heineke January 4, 2011 at 7:42 PM

NSA and tankergirl - Maybe it's Jake who keeps misspelling my name! In fact, it totally is and I won't listen to anyone who tries to tell me otherwise... :)

Sasha - The birds are kind of freaking me out. First it happened in Arkansas and then today it happened again in Louisiana. First sign of the apocalypse?! MAYBE!!!

Linna - Go, girl, GO!! You're so damned close! I can't wait to revel in your accomplishment with you. :D

Sam - No lie, the snakes were on the news tonight. It has been crazy to see Brisbane marked on a map every night...

Lola,  January 4, 2011 at 10:31 PM

LOL. PG its totally Jake, now that he's wised up and kicked T-swift to the curb he wants you back:)

Are you guys talking about those 3,000 black birds that died on new years eve? I just read the artical today. They said the fireworks confused them and they started smashing into things and dying. One dead bird hit a woman walking her dog.LOL.

Becky Heineke January 5, 2011 at 11:17 AM

Breakup post now up! (Thanks, sofia!) I knew it wouldn't last...he's been trying his hardest to woo me back for months now and *clearly* Taylor was just a ploy to make me jealous... :)

Lola, it's SO WEIRD! The fireworks explanation made sense with the first dead birds, but now there are all these other reports of dead birds and dead fish all over the world! Weirdness. I hadn't heard that about the lady walking her dog, though. HAHA! :D

Sasha,  January 5, 2011 at 3:01 PM

See PG we are close to apocalypse - told ya world ends 2012 :D hahaha it's the four riders of the apocalypse that we are seeing all over the world > War, Blood, Hunger, Desease

Actually that fireworks expalanation sounded like a bad ploy for me from the very beginning ... every year there are so many fireworks - especially here in germany where everyone can do fireworks on NYE ... and NEVER EVER did we have 1000s of birds falling from heaven dead ... maybe a couple die of heartattacks and stuff but not 1000s - that's redicoulous to come up with.

Yep Sam, as embarrassing at it is for me as german ... it is dead true. They showed pictures of that on TV too. How can one be so stupid?

Poor woman Lola, that was a terrible start into the year :/

Really PG? Fish? I didn't hear about that yet....

Vanessa January 5, 2011 at 3:06 PM

whoo-hoo, PG, glad to see google does recognize your real name. >;-D

Hah, now that you are back with Gylls, T-Swift can start writing the next song about another ex who broke her teeny heart. >;-P

Call Me Mo January 5, 2011 at 4:59 PM

Woot. I feel a pang of jealousy over your dot com. I wish I were that cool. =]

Miffed67 January 7, 2011 at 9:47 AM

Heh...that's TOO awesome! You ARE famous...I can say I know a famous person!

Ok, so for some reason Akismet marked your comment as spam on my "postaweek, new year, whatever" post. I was cleaning out my Spam and being the dummy that I am, I deleted it!!! I'm so sorry! I don't know why Akismet picked it up to begin with, the blog's settings should have let you post automatically without moderation from me. ANYway.....I apologize!

I think about you every time I drive through town, seriously! One of these days we'll actually get it together. I'll try to stop by next time because I really do want to visit the Museum again, how I love that place. See ya soon and thanks for stopping by!!! Muah!

Becky Heineke January 7, 2011 at 1:12 PM

^^^ The same thing has happened to me! I love that Blogger now catches most of the spam posts, but for a while, everyone who posted a link in their comment was going straight to spam. I have no idea how many people I unintentionally insulted by deleting their comments before I realized what I was doing, but needless to say, I completely understand!!! :D

And YES, next time you're coming this way, you should totally stop in!! I haven't been to that museum for about 5 years, so maybe I'll tag along with you...with you coming so close, we're ridiculously long overdue to meet up! :)
