Love and Other Drugs: Jake's Idea of Comedy

(In case you didn't see the last post, this is a NEW TRAILER.)

WHY are we all so excited about Love and Other Drugs?  The sex?  The Viagra?  The Jake Gyllenhaal/Anne Hathaway on-screen make-out sessions in which both of their characters are straight?

NO.  We're excited for the comedy.  Because that's not something we Jake fans get all that often, and to see Jake in a role where he's hamming it up is VERY EXCITING.

Vanessa has hooked us up with more high-resolution screencaps (click them, save them, lick your computer screen) than I even know what to do with, except I did know what to do with them, which was to go through and carefully analyze Jake's talent as a comedic actor.

What can we expect from Jake in Love and Other Drugs?

MANY THINGS.

And that is what Jake thinks comedy is after all of these years of playing characters who are mentally disturbed and/or depressed and/or have a 50% chance of dying before the end of the movie. 

He'll get better, I'm sure.  He just needs to do it a few more times...
