Man vs. Jake Gyllenhaal
Is that Jake Gyllenhaal or Ralphie's kid brother Randy?
Hahaha, I crack myself up.
As has been the subject of endless conversation for months (because really, what the hell else are Jake fans going to talk about?), Jake Gyllenhaal is set to appear on an episode of Man vs. Wild at some point, sometime, in the future, sometime.
I haven't the foggiest idea when. But if someone else knows, this information would be most appreciated.

I thought I liked Bear Grylls but I just read that 2 of his sons are called Maramduke and Huckleberry so fuck him and fuck his programme.

I liked Bear until he drank his own urine. On television. For no ACTUAL reason.
BPB i just saw that too... WTF I thought he was like a bit of a hero but thats a little strange.
Well i an super duper excited for this, i cant wait to see him doing this. Reason being i think he will be very much *himself* it would be hard to act in such a situation..
Negative- he will be FULLY clothed ALL the time...
Mo, i once saw him skin a snake and carry his urine around in the skin around his neck for half a day before drinking it. Hence it was warmed up more by the sun... *vom*
Every time I look at that picture, ALL I CAN THINK is, "I can't put my arms down!" HA! It's still funny 12 hours later...
Anyway. brits, that comment made me laugh stupidly hard. Thank God married life hasn't mellowed you. :)
Apparently I'm the only person who has never watched this show! My brother described several episodes to me in detail a couple of years back and I just thought, 'why would anyone do any of that?' and then promptly forgot about it. I will totally watch when Jake's on, though, and Sam, you bring up a fantastic point about Jake not being "on" during this adventure. Should be interesting... :)

Drinking his urine isn't what made me dislike him in an instant, but killing a snake for no reason sure did.

haven't seen it too :) but that's prolly because it never aired in this part of the world - otherwise I might have stumbled upon it coz I generally like documentaries about the wild - here is a german guy who lives in the wild too and makes films about it. But he is not like that here mentioned dude as it seems. He just loves nature and spends as much time as possible there showing how nature "works" and all. AMAZING!

Love this post & can I just say, "eeewww!!!" on drinking his urine, why in the hell would he do that if he didn't have to in order to survive??? Is he like just weird?
Anyway, I saw a similar article to Sasha's that said the same thing, the new season starts July 11th & Jake's show will be that show. & Sasha, 9 - 10 pm ET means it will air at 9 PM Eastern Time for an hour, but not sure when it airs overseas.

omg I just checked out Jake Gyllenhaal's World and it's so so mundane and so not new news. Here's an excerpt that made me LOL (emphasis mine)
"This was big bucks going to a noble cause, Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, but an on-set visit had to be Gyllenhaal’s easiest gig ever. . . . Between takes, the star with the dreamy blue eyes assuredly came over, shook hands, and even conversed for a while.
"Why would he do that?

Yeah, community service for all the needy people in Martha's Vineyard. But I guess the "even conversed" should be emphasized because usually he just scowls.
Or it is just that I've had a hard week and I'll laugh at anything?
And for the record I usually avoid shows where the guys are named Bear, Snake, or Dawg.

I hope it's not part of their regimen in this episode to do anything really lame. I mean, WTF would Jake need to drink urine...or Bear either, for that matter.
